This article on "The Onion" is a satire explaining the problems with smoking even if the problems are not actually there. The author uses bullet points to quickly list these "problems" for people who do not have a lot of time to read them still can. This article just like most other article in "The Onion" appeals to pathos in humor that everyone can understand. For example: "Impaired blood flow to the skin begins to cause wrinkles in women and rugged good looks in men". This is an example of satire aswell because in society it is more "unattractive" for a women to smoke than a man even though it is the same thing. The author is trying to reach his goal by showing people the humor of things that we beleive.
